You Are The Spirit of The "D", So Represent! (Fine Art Print) - 18in x 24in
This artwork is inspired by the backdrop of the Spirit of Detroit statue located in Detroit MI, on the westside of the city county building at the corner of Woodward Ave. and Jefferson Ave. The script on the wall behind the statue is bible scripture, 2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. The image in the artwork is wearing a Detroit Redwings "D" hat. The "D" was the first logo for the Detroit based hockey team in 1926, they were called the Detroit Cougars. A new logo was introduced in 1932 when the team changed its name to the Detroit Red Wings. It featured two red wings with a wheel between them, representing both speed and power. This emblem remained unchanged for over 50 years until 1982 when it was redesigned slightly to include more detail on each wing. The Spirit ofDetroit and the Redwings are tied together by the Redwings logo for the message in this art piece. The wings represent freedom and the wheel represent the "Motor City" (Detroit MI). The artwork is titled by Attorney Paul Daniel Curtis.
